 Welcome to

Good Buy Baby onLine market.

Good Buy Baby onLine is another way Good Buy Baby are providing parents,  businesses and service providers the place to BUY & SELL children’s items from ages 0 to 10 years.

The online market is free for all users, and is a great alternative to our regular Saturday morning markets for people who

• Can’t make it to a Good Buy Baby Market to BUY & SELL
• Only have a few items they need to sell
• Want to purchase something NOW!
• Want to pre list your items for sale (notify market shoppers of what you will have on your stall at an upcoming market); or are
• Looking for local children’s activities, services or party ideas.

Hints to get you started...

Create an account.
Click on the create an account and it will ask you to create a user name and register your details.
This is the account you can use to login each visit and simply add the items you wish to list on the website. You will be notified via email when people leave a message asking about an item etc.

Find your way around.
The headings in the green box titled 'onLine Market' are short cuts you can use to find your way around.

Ads list....will show you what is listed for sale. Note you can change the viewing style -grid or list view.

My ads...shows what you have listed for sale. Click on the crayon/pencil symbol to edit your listings.

New ads...upload your photos and create an ad for the item you wish to sell.

Categories...breaks down the items into more easily managable headings.

Favorite ads...keep a list of things to keep an eye on. Click on the eye symbol under the item photo to ad things to your favourites. Click again to remove.

Search ads...narrow the search by categories or other groupings.

User profile...you can change your profile as required.

Other useful bits.

-Public v's Private listing types...
Public listed ads will show contact details for everyone to see.
Private listed ads will keep the sellers details hidden. Contact is made using the message box below the item
description. Please include the suburb in the item description if the listing is private.

-Contact a seller...
if you send a message using the box below the item description, the seller will receive an email with notice of your message. The seller then has the option of providing his personal details.

-Back button....
There is a blue back arrow in a circle you can use to go back a page. If you have changed the view to show the date listed (newest to oldest listing etc) using the date tag along the top, you will need to click on the Ads List in the green box to the right again. This seems to set the new order and it will prevent the blue back button from playing up. Apparently the internet was not ment to go in reverse!

-Edit button....
The crayon/pencil symbol allows you to edit your listing.

-Cancel button...
This is a red circle with a line through it. If your ad has expired, please remove it from the listings. If you wish to relist it, use this to cancel, and it will give you the option of relisting instead of cancelling. This is handy as it saves you from having to enter it again. Just be sure to change dates, prices etc.

List an item for sale:

Start a new listing...
1. Log in, or create an account if you are starting new.
2. Click on New Ad in the green box to the right.
3. Select a category, and click on choose this category at either the top of bottom of the list.
4. Fill in the blanks. As mentioned above, it is up to you if you would like your ad to be public or private. A
d the descriptions, the price and photos. Dates can be changed using the little box to bring up a calendar.
5. Please remember to come back and visit your ad listing. You may want to relist, or if sold, please remove from the onLine market.

A
dding a photo...
Ad photo to 'main picture'. This will be the thumbnail displayed in the listing.
Ad extra photos to 'pictures'.
People are able to click to open pictures for a better view.

Hint: Photo sizes to big (ie 3MB) it will not load. Need to shrink your photo for web use.
Quick lession:
Step 1. Make a copy (if you dont want to mess with your original).
Step 2. On your copied photo, right click, select open with and select Microsoft office picuture manager.
Step 3. Select  Edit picutres option which is up the top.
Step 4. Then down the right side of your screen, use compress picture. You can then select web pages, and click ok. This will give you a file size of 30KB instead of large MB etc.
Step 5. Close the window using red X up the top right and Save when asked.  You now have a small photo ready for online use.

Using Attachments...This is best used for adding any extra infromation you think people would like to see. Scanned copy of warranty, PDF files, business terms & conditions etc. Do not use this for display photos.

Google coordinates... are an easy way for people to see where you live. You can use profile coordinates, or you can use select coordinates. This opens up a map, where you can click on a place, then click select and it uses these coordinates. This helps if you want them to pick up from somewhere other than listed on your profile, or keep it general to your area without being specific to your home.

5. Nearly finished. You just need to agree to the terms and conditions, and hit save. You are on your way!

I hope these hints help get you started. More hints to come as I find them!

Remove your listing:
Don't forget to remove your listing if it has been sold or expired!
You can repost your listing if you would like it to continue. See above for hints on how you can do this without having to enter all your information again.
