What you will find

We love this venue, as we have a bit more room to spread out. On the front lawn is where all the buzz will be, with the usual drinks and food, as well as our sponsors and a good spot to sit and catch your breath. Out the back there will be some staff from Albany Creek Kids. This is one of the newest day care centres in the local area, so stop off and say hi.
Here are a few of our regular features you will find at a Good Buy Baby Market:

Word of Mouth- Tracy will be at the market to offer some free samples and products for people to try out. Take the opportunity to try something you may not have tried before.

Albany Creek Apex -These cheeky boys just can't stay away. They do cook a mean sausage, so we won't complain!

Pixifoto- The girls at Pixifoto at Aspley will be coming along to the Eaton's Hill Market for the first time. Please make them welcome, and they will put your name in the draw for a portrait prize valued at around $375!

Coffee Van- We have not forgotten the coffee connoisseur in you all. For this market, we have a new coffee fan coming along to provide you all a kick start to your morning.

Show Bag- Be one of the first 250 to get our now famous "Green show bag". Promotions and information about local businesses, and lots more.

Door Prizes- Thanks to the generosity of Word of Mouth, we are able to offer three separate door prizes up for grabs, just for signing up to receive our newsletter. If you know of anyone who has not signed up, let them know what they are missing.

Specialty Business Stalls - At each market we have a select number of business stalls offering something a little different, so be sure to stop and have a look.

Good Buy Baby..onBoard - Don't forget you can post a flyer on the noticeboard for free when you attend the market. You can post an item to sell, or if you are looking for something, why not put up a note and let people know what you are after. Keep them to an A4 size ad or smaller, leaving your name and contact details so you can be contacted you at a later time.

We were so overwhelmed with the number of people now interested in attending a market as a stall holder, we could book the stalls out a few times over! We are currently looking at ways we can accommodate you all, so please bear with us.

	North Lakes Market a Huge Success!!! Thank you to the community of North Lakes for stepping out on the weekend and visiting our Good Buy Baby Market. We had another wonderful market, with over 500 people attending throughout the morning. Stall holders have given some figures which all sound very encouraging. Chris reported taking $480 on her preloved stall. Not bad for a mornings work! Let me know how you went with your stall and if you did better than Chris. Market Sponsors Thank you to our market sponsors for your ongoing support. Pathways Leisure Centre was a sponsor again this market. The girls were able to give some great education on the importance of swim lessons for the little ones. With an indoor heated learn to swim pool they run one of the largest learn to swim programs on Brisbane's northside. Tami and the girls from Ladybirds & Dragonflies Childminding Service were thankful for the opportunity to inform parents of the unique childcare services they offer. Ladybirds is not a childcare centre, but an organisation offering a variety of childminding services that are accessible to parents 24/7. Attending a function or wedding? need a babysitter so you can attend a christmas party or just want to do the shopping without the kids? visit their website; they are sure to have a service available to cater for your needs. Kathy from Smallprints was a busy girl this market. With Christmas coming up she was taking lots of impressions of little fingers- ready to be made into beautiful handcrafted jewellery that capture your child's fingerprints forever. Pendants to charms. Something for everyone. I would like to thank the team from Skateaway. Not only have they been a sponsor for most of our markets this year, they added a bonus this market and gave away a free pair of skates every half hour. Congratulations to those who won skates. I am sure your kids are very happy with you this week!!! Remember Skateaway do Tiny Tots skate lessons for the little ones, as well as a variety of sessions for all ages. Saturday 14 November The first two markets for next year will open for registration this Saturday 14 November. The markets for: 27 February 2010 at North Lakes 27 March 2010 at Eatons Hill Simply go to the website www.goodbuybaby.com.au and look under the Stall Holders tab to find the registration page. Lodge your registration and we will let you know if you have been successful in getting a stall. New way of doing registrations in 2010 After one market has finished, we will open the next for registration. Please do not register before these release dates, as these will not be accepted. Once a booking has been received, a notification of successful registration will be sent, upon which payment is expected within 5 days. Please check the website for further details. Quest Business Awards Thank you to everyone who has supported Good Buy Baby and helped us get to the finalist stage of the Quest Business Achiever Awards. Unfortunatly we did not take home the trophy, but still very happy to make it to the short list. Thank you to all the local businesses who joined us as sponsors. Also to the stall holders and community who continue to support us by coming along and making each market such a success. 	Thank you!!! to everyone who attended our Eaton's Hill Good Buy Baby Market on Saturday. The day started out with light showers, but thankfully cleared to blue skies in time for the market to open as normal. By the days end, it was a beautiful and glorious day. Many people seemed to leave fully loaded with all sorts of bargains, so I am sure your kids had a great weekend playing with their new acquisitions. I have also had some great feedback from some stall holders saying they made some good money, and the clean out has been very cathartic. Getting rid of your unused items and clearing some space in the house seams to have that effect on most of us! Market Sponsors... Thank you to our market sponsors for their support. We had some great giveaways out the front as people entered the market. From lolly pops, balloons and tennis balls, I'm sure there was something for everyone. Prize winners... Winners of the three door prizes we had on offer for signing up to our newsletter have now been notified. We are waiting on a response from couple of them, so if you know of anyone who went to the market, remind them to check their emial! They could be a winner and not know it! Feedback wanted... We had a few items listed on the boards for shoppers to browse. They could then take the details to contact the sellers at a later date. This is a free service open to everyone, so you do not need to be a stall holder to post an item on the board. Keep this in mind for the next market at North Lakes on 7th November. If you have the odd thing you want to sell but missed out on a stall, or if you have a stall and have too many items to put in the large items area, you can post them on the board. You can also list a request for items you have been looking for to buy. Hopefully someone out there has exactly what you are looking for! Albany Creek Apex Club... Good Buy Baby would just like to give a plug to the guys at the local Apex club for their support in running the sausage sizzle. These guys come along to make sure people have an option of grabbing a quick bite to eat or a drink, and they do it all with a smile! Keep in mind Apex is a services club which prides itself on helping the community. Apex is unique in that is has a more youthful membership base, ensuring a youthful outlook and membership concerned with youth issues. Membership is open to all walks of life, and the club promotes friendships and community spirit. The last market we held at North Lakes was a fantastic event with a real buzz and atmosphere. This market will be close to Christmas, so a great chance to grab some things to put under the tree or as stocking fillers. We will be having the GoodBuyBaby...onBoard notice board happening again, as well as the usual sausage sizzle, coffee van and free giveaways from Word of Mouth. Pencil the date into your diary now so you don't miss a chance to grab a bargain in the lead up to Christmas. Save some money you can then spend on other things! Quest Business Achievers Awards... Thank you to those of you who voted for us in the Quest Business Achievers awards. Good Buy Baby is now through to the finalist stage. We will let you know how we go! Thanks again for your support of our small local business. We aim to bring pre loved baby markets a little closer to you, and with your support we can continue to run events within the Northside suburbs of Brisbane. Good Buy Baby set out to help people recoupe some of the cost involved with raising a family, and to save on the expenses of raising children in the 0 to 10 years ages. Tracy from Word Of Mouth will be at the market again with lots of free samples to give away. For those of you who have come to recent markets, I'm sure you remember the yoghurt, QV cream and other goodies Tracy was able to temp you with. Come along and see what is on offer at this Market! Whats new... We will be having a notice board on display to give people an option to post items they have for sale or to list items you are looking to buy. If you missed out on getting a stall, or have the odd item you would like to sell, this is a great way to be involved with the market. Good Buy Baby is offering this service for free, but you will need to be at the market to post your item on the notice board. Buyers/Sellers will take your details and contact you later. For Sale: If you do not have a stall at the market, or even if you do have a stall and have Large Items you are unable to display at the market, please feel free to print a photo, or write a detailed description with a contact name, number and price. You can display them on a notice board for shoppers to see and contact you directly to buy. Wanted to Buy: If there is something you are looking for and can't find it at the market, then write it down and pin it up on the notice board with your name and contact number. Someone might look at your ad and have exactly what you have been hunting for! They can give you a call and arrange a sale. Good Buy Baby will not be selling the items, merely displaying them for people to see. Keep ads to no bigger than an A4 sheet. Items must be of good quality and still in good condition. Think of it like the community notice board! *Eaton's Hill layout...* We are returning to Eatons Hill after doing the rounds of Northern Suburbs of Brisbane. Both North Lakes and Morayfield were are great success and each market seams to have a life of its own. For those of you who attended our very first market at Eatons Hill back in March, keep an eye out for the new stall layout. Be sure to check out the stalls under the veranda, and the kids playground will have activities thanks to ABC Learning Centres. Thank you for your patience while we take this journey to discover the best way to run the Good Buy Baby Markets.
